An ad-hoc group of Shelburne artists has joined forces to create Wit, Wind & Whimsy: Art on the Waterfront, a show and sale of fine art and craft taking place at Bill Norman Park on Shelburne’s Waterfront on September 19 & 20, during the Whirligig & Weathervane Festival.
The show has grown out of and is partnered with the award-winning Whirligig & Weathervane Festival, which is now in its 16th year.
This new arts festival will provide a venue for artists to showcase, promote and sell original and exciting work at a well-established annual weekend event.
The exhibit opens on Saturday, September 19 at 10:00am and runs through Sunday, September 20 at 4:00pm. Artists are required to be present in the exhibit space and will be encouraged to sell their work at the show.
Wit, Wind & Whimsy is looking for submissions from artists in the region who may want to participate in the show. All work must be designed and created by the artist or artisan and work will be selected based on its quality and uniqueness.
Deadline for Submissions is September 14, 2015. Early submissions are encouraged and a response within 10 business days is guaranteed.
